After winning the third one day West Indies Skipper Gayle told England's final match of the one-day series next week in St Lucia remains under threat of strike action from West Indies players in dispute with their cricket board.
Gayle further added"We need a better infrastructure and match fees and we just want everyone to benefit out of this. It's not about us who are playing for West Indies, it's more about the regional players.
"This stuff has been going on for years and it's about time some proper infrastructure was there. Guys have played first-class cricket for years and have nothing to show for it - they need to play for West Indies to earn some sort of living, which is very disappointing."
Gayle was also critical of England batsman Kevin Pietersen as both sides prepare for tomorrow's fourth match of the one-day series at the Kensington Oval.
The West Indies captain was incensed by Pietersen's criticism of Shivnarine Chanderpaul, who he claimed "plays for himself", and has already spoken to the Hampshire batsman about his comments.
"I was very shocked to hear that sort of thing and very disappointed in Kevin Pietersen making these sort of comments," said Gayle. "He has no right to make that sort of comment.
"Whatever issues he had, he should have kept to himself. I've played with Shiv for years and, as a captain, I get tremendous support from him both on and off the field.
"His batting in both forms of the game has been brilliant and to hear these sorts of comments out in public has been very disappointing."
He added "I did speak to him Pietersen and told him I was very disappointed in him. He didn't need to stoop to that level and I let him know straight up that I was disappointed in what I had heard.
"He didn't actually apologise and if he could apologise that would be nice. We're all big men but there's no need to go to that level and degrade other players.
"No one wants to be degraded in this manner. We're all human beings and everybody is playing this sport to enjoy the game but to take it to that level is very disappointing."

Australia Vs South Africa 2nd Test | Kingsmead, Durban
Bryce McGain's chances of making his Test debut, but Australian Skipper Ricky Ponting said it would be difficult to change Australia's winning side. This side has played really well over five days. There have been really valuable contributions from everyone when they needed to do it
The second Test begins at Kingsmead on Friday and Australia's two slow men, Bryce McGain and Nathan Hauritz, are hoping to be in contention. However, the three genuine fast bowlers Mitchell Johnson, Peter Siddle and Ben Hilfenhaus performed strongly and their medium-pace backup Andrew McDonald built the pressure with economical spells and collected a wicket in each innings.
After winning the First Test, Ponting said We'll have to have a closer look at that for Durban. One thing we do know down there is that the ball will always swing in Durban as well, particularly early in the game.
South Africa Skipper Smith added "Generally Durban is a good wicket with good pace and bounce It has been over the last period of time a really good Test wicket that deteriorates as the Test match goes on so certainly as a team we won't be making any panicky changes. We've got Albie Morkel coming into the squad but other than that it's just about improving our standards."

Australia Won the First Test | Mitchell Johnson Man of the Match
Mitchell Johnson Leads Australia to win the first test against South Africa on the final day by 162 run.
South Africa Chasing a big total of 454 were bowled out for 291, Mitchell Johnson took 4 for 112 and Siddle took 3 for 46 put Austalia 1-0 in the three match Series.
Man of the Match Mitchell Johnson also scored useful unbeaten 96runs, I felt a bit flat this morning and the legs were heavy but seeing how Siddle and (Ben) Hilfenhaus bowled really encouraged me, Johnson said.
Johnson further added "Patience and persistence were the keys, patience is very important on a pitch like that.,"
After the Victory Pointing said "This has been a very good team performance by all of us, with three debutants playing in this game, and at different times all three stood up and did a great job I thought," he told Sky Sports.
Pointing further added"We've had a long time to think about the home series that we played and the mistakes and errors that we made, and I think we've rectified most of those this week.
"Not going in with a spinner and picking Hilfenhaus over Bollinger, we figured here is where the ball is known to swing around a bit and the way it seamed around for most of this game justified those selections.
"It's just a really good solid effort from the 11 players on the field and the off-field people that have supported us this week, it's been a real team effort to turn things around and having won our last two Tests against this South African side I think this team is bouncing back and showing a lot of good qualities."
